We serve the greater Charlottesville and Richmond areas. If you do not live in one of these cities, please e-mail us your address and we will tell you if you are within our delivery area.

We offer DROP-BOX SERVICE for customers who are in the Charlottesville area on a weekly basis. More information can be found below.
We are a full-service, NADS certified, cloth diaper provider.

How Our Service Works:

1. Each week, you put your bag of soiled diapers outside of your door with a CLEAN COUNT STICKER attached that tells us how many unused diapers are still on your shelf.

2. We pick up your soils and leave you with fresh diapers. The amount is based on your CLEAN COUNT from the week before, and will ensure that you have your STANDING COUNT in your home.

AND IT IS THAT SIMPLE! No need for frantic trips to the grocery store, dumping poop, diaper genies, or ever-expensive trash stickers. And you will keep all of that stuff out of your landfill.

What If I Don't Live In Your Delivery Area?

If you wish, you can use our drop box located in the Fry's Spring area of Charlottesville at 2429 Jefferson Park Avenue, 22903. The drop box is in the driveway, and you can pick-up cleans and drop off soils at the same time.

What Do I Have To Rent?

Renting diapers from us is the only MUST. We do all the laundering - so soaking or dumping on your end! Just put them right in the hamper as they come off of your baby.

Wrap/cover rental is purely optional, and you can purchase your own if you prefer or skip wraps altogether. They keep the diaper on snugly and protect clothes from being soiled. IF YOU RENT OUR DIAPER COVERS YOU WILL WASH THEM AT HOME.

A sturdy hamper and a jar of baby balm is also optional. These are yours to keep.

How Does Payment Work?

We ask for a deposit towards service of $150 that is ABSOLUTELY NON-REFUNDABLE, and then we send you a bill every 4 weeks. $100 is put towards your escrow account and applied to your final bill. the other $50 is credited towards your first bill. There is a one-time $25 set-up fee for all new customers. When you are done with our service, we will refund any unused funds over and above the deposit.

You can pay through the mail, electronically, or leave a check taped to the outside of your bag on pick-up day.

We will let you know if an unpaid bill exceeds this deposit, causing us to suspend service until you catch up. The deposit balance must be restored to your account monthly by paying your current bill in full.

ALL GIFT CERTIFICATES ARE ABSOLUTELY NON-REFUNDABLE.

How Do I Set Up Service?

You can sign up by paying your deposit and filling out the new customer form. These can be snail-mailed to Stork Diapers, P.O. Box 5784, Charlottesville, VA 22903. You can also pay using PayPal and e-mail your form to storkdiapers @ gmail.com.

Two weeks before you are due, we will bring your supplies. Then, we wait for you to e-mail us to let us know you are ready for your first pick up!

When Do You Deliver?

All Stork deliveries are made on MONDAYS between 7 am and 6 pm. It is a good idea to put out your soils the night before.

ALL CHANGES to your order must be made via e-mail by FRIDAY at 5pm.

What If I Am Out of Town?

If you are going to be away from home you can request either a:

VACATION HOLD: We do not pick up soils or drop off cleans and there is no charge for the week(s) that you are on hold. Limit 3 consecutive months.

PICK-UP ONLY: We pick up your soiled diapers but do not drop off any cleans that week. Charge for this service is $5. Limit two consecutive weeks.

QUIT SERVICE: We pick up all supplies and do not leave any new ones. Charge of $5 will apply unless supplies are brought to our drop box at 2429 Jefferson Park Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22903.

How Do Counts Work?

You are charged for your STANDING COUNT each week, no matter how many diapers you actually use, since those diapers are with you and not available for other customers. You can adjust your standing count at any time. Weekly, you provide us with a clean count of the number of unused diapers you still have at home when you put out your bag. You may not get your fill count each week in your new bag, but you should always that many at home.

Oops! I forgot to leave my diapers out!

If you forget to set out soiled diapers, you will still get clean diapers. Just hang onto your bag of soiled diapers until the next week (give it a good dose of baking soda and keep it in a cool place). You may also bring your diapers to our drop box 2429 Jefferson Park Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22903. MAKE SURE YOU STILL SEND US YOUR CLEAN COUNT!
